Australian Valve Group is a privately owned Australian company, headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. The primary focus of the company is to manufacture and distribute a range of heating control valves for domestic hot water systems. All of which are Australian Designed and Approved.
AVG owes its success to the vast experience and knowledge of its people which has helped develop a range of superior quality, "plumber friendly" heating control valves.
Our vision is simply to be the most competitive producer - by providing the best quality products, services and processes. We do this by taking on board customer requirements and manufacturing a range of high quality, ergonomic valves that exceed those requirements.
Joint Venture
The company has a joint venture operation based in China with Ideal China Group (IDC) whose head office is in Taiwan. This operation has ISO 9001 quality systems and exports 100%. Major clients include Grohe (Germany), Moen & Delta (USA), Pegler, Kohler & IMI (UK).
Our Group is one of the world's leading plumbing and heating OEM manufacturers.
Australian Role
AVG's function within the partnership is to design products and equipment along with constructing all required calibration machines. In addition, we gain product approvals and ensure optimum quality control within the factory. In Australia the main role for AVG is to develop & design valve type products & market those products to the Australian & NZ Markets.
AVG's Responsibilities include the following:
- product design
- gaining product approvals
- quality control
- manufacturing control in China
- strategic marketing
- research & development
- calibration equipment design and manufacture
Alliances
AVG's associated company, Global Valve Alliance (GVA) based in Hong Kong has the responsibility to market products elsewhere in the world excluding Australia & NZ. AVG & GVA pool resources to develop products for global markets i.e. Temperature Radiator Valves and Thermostatic Mixing Valves.
GVA has already released a range of ball & gate valves into the Australian market. The gate valves carry Water Mark approval and the ball valves carry both Water Mark & AGA approval
For many years now in Australia, other organisations have been permitted to dominate the control valve industry with the result that no driving force for them to develop their range of products. Here at AVG we have seen that there is a requirement for the evolution of the control valve. All of the AVG valves and systems have been given the full Australian Standards approval; and are ISO9002 - ISO 140001 certified.
